Welcome to the Night Race & Rail Jam at Lecht 2090 on Saturday 24th February. Have you ever wanted to try a fun snowsports competition on-snow under floodlights? Well here's your chance! This will be a fun competition and will be held on the Robin & Wren Magic Carpets under floodlights at the Lecht. Timetable for Saturday 24th February 2024
Registration: 16:30-16:55 Slope Opens & Event Start: 17:00
Prize Giving: 19:30 Hot Food will be available in the Lecht cafe until 17:00. After this time the cafe will remain open with hot and cold drinks and cold snacks available. Great Prizes will be available!
The Format of the event will be as follows: Race - Timed slalom format (unseeded), prizes for fastest times in U8, U10, U12, U14, U16+ and adult categories. Participants will have the opportunity to complete as many runs as they can in an allotted time period, only the fastest two times will be counted towards the final results.
Rail Jam - Fun jam using rookie rails and features with spot prizes. Participants will have the opportunity to complete as many runs as they wish in the allotted time period.Skiers and snowboarders can take part in both parts of the event. All entrants will be automatically entered into both parts of the event, but are not obliged to take part in both parts. Cost: £15 - for members of a Snowsport Scotland affiliated Club
£18 - for anyone who is not a member of a Club, this price includes your insurance to take part. Equipment: Ski or Snowboard Hire will NOT be available from the Lecht that evening, you will need to bring your own equipment or hire it elsewhere.
Lift Passes:
Lift passes are included in the entry fee and will be issued at registration, there is no discount for season pass holders as the event is outside of regular opening times.
Clothing:
Racing "Cat Suits" are not permitted as this is a night time event and we want all entrants to be able to keep warm. Warm clothing must be worn.
Entry Level to take part:
This event is open to anyone under the age of 18 who can confidently snowplough turn (for skiers) or ride linked turns (for snowboarders) and use the magic carpet travelator lift.
